Our Homes

At The Ryes, all of our young people’s needs are carefully assessed before they are placed in the property that will suit them best. These are:

Pump Farm

Pump Farm is a six-bedded farmhouse set in five acres of grounds in the Suffolk village of Assington. The school is located on site and enables for provision of education and care to those with disorders on the autistic spectrum. Unity House

Just outside the market town of Sudbury, Unity House is a six-bedded children’s home providing individually tailored systems of support for young people who are making the first moves towards independence. The young people at Unity House benefit from the care of a team dedicated to assisting those who are less intellectually able to negotiate the challenges of adolescence. Unity also supports its young people in accessing local colleges to gain further academic qualifications and social skills. We have a stable staff group that provide a nurturing and caring environment whilst at the same time challenging the young people in a way that helps them develop, gain skills and learn to take greater responsibility for their actions. Learn more.

Head Lane is just a few moments walk from Great Cornard Gym and outdoor swimming pool, which is great in the summer months. The team is committed and passionate about what they do. Learn more.

Little Henny

The 18 acre site in Little Henny is one of outstanding beauty, offering panoramic views across Stour Valley, which has been immortalised by the famous English landscape artist John Constable. From the windows of the east wing one can see the site of at least five paintings by John Constable. For the young people the site offers increased staffing levels and chance to be accommodated in a single occupancy unit to allow space to address issues with intense staff input. This has helped some our young people in crisis to turn their behaviour around and saved placements which would otherwise have been in severe jeopardy. Learn more.
