The Ryes College & Community

The Ryes has a long-established relationship with local primary school, De Vere’s, in Castle Hedingham. As part of our commitment to the community, the young people of Unity House applied for and received a £5000 grant from the Prince’s Trust Lottery Fund. This money was used to convert De Vere’s playground from a wasteland into a stunning garden, complete with pond area, vegetable patch, orchard, wild flower area, a willow tunnel and gazebo. The project has featured on the local radio and in newspapers.

I have enjoyed working with the young people from the De Vere School, and I feel very proud to help others.
